T.J. LeafBack to back bad news for ____ stories.

5-star class of 2016 recruit T.J. Leaf has announced that he’s decommitted from the Arizona Wildcats.

Leaf, a 6-9 / 6-10 power forward from Foothills Christian High School in El Cajon, California, made the announcement yesterday.  He was widely considered to be a top 10 overall recruit in the class and that was prior to having a very strong summer playing for the Israeli national team during the U18 European Championships.  He ended the tournament by winning MVP honors after averaging 16.1 points and 8.4 rebounds in nine games.

He projects as a prototype stretch-4 in today’s NBA.  Leaf possesses great size along with a dangerous shot out to 3-point range and well above average ball handling skills for a player his size.

Prior to announcing his commitment to Arizona in November, his top 5 was Arizona, Duke, Florida, Michigan and UCLA.

Leaf had this to say about the decision to decommit:
