Will the Lotte Giants accept a bid for Ah-seop Son?
This following in Byung-ho Park being posted last week.
Ah-seop Son doesn’t project as quite the impact player that Park does, but he’s certainly a name worth knowing.
The corner outfielder hit .317 with a .406 OBP in the KBO last season, while also hitting 13 home runs and stealing 11 bases in 116 games.
NBCSports.com believes that the Orioles will make a play for Son.  They took a shot at Park, but were unsuccessful.
The 27-year-old isn’t going to draw the same $12.85M posting fee that the Heroes got for Park, but it’s easy to see a team bidding 5-7 million for a shot at a top of the order player like Son.
Just bidding the most money might not be enough for a team to win the rights to negotiate with Son.  There’s some out there who believe that the team would have to be blown away by a bid for Son to accept it.  Otherwise, they’ll just decline the offer and post his teammate, third baseman Jae-gyun Hwang, who has also requested to be posted.
In the current system, team’s may only post one player at a time and may only accept one bid per off-season.
