Carlo Ancelotti isn’t looking to poach players from his old team

Carlo Ancelotti spoke about a number of topics earlier this week.

While chatting about his new book “Quiet Leadership: Winning Hearts, Minds, and Matches“, Bayern Munich’s Carlo Ancelotti made it clear that he has no plans to target players from his old club, Real Madrid, to improve his current group.

A man whose reputation and career results speak for themselves, Ancelotti led Real Madrid to La Decima.

“We signed players in the summer that we needed such as Mats Hummels and Renato Sanches in order to be more competitive for the season ahead and now we are fine as we are.”

He was also quick to make it clear that any allegations regarding poor training efforts from Madrid were completely baseless.

“That bothers me because it isn’t true and I resent those who speak without knowledge. The physical work we did in Madrid was very good,” insisted Ancelotti.

“Some may think that, from time to time, we could have worked more but that must be said with knowledge of the situation, otherwise you can’t voice an opinion on something you don’t know the facts about.

“I have already explained that when I was at the club, we trained and worked very well because I had a staff alongside me to help with the coaching and who I consider the best in the world.”

It’s safe to say that he’s keeping an eye on Real Madrid results, odds and fantastic betting markets at William Hill.

The legendary coach took time to congratulate Cristiano Ronaldo for bringing home his fourth Ballon d’Or this week.

“I think Ronaldo deserved to win the Ballon d’Or because he won the Champions League and European Championship and for me, he was the best player last season,” added the 57-year-old.

“I haven’t spoken with him yet but I did send him a message through his agent [Jorge Mendes] congratulating him and I’m really happy for him.
