An update on the latest MLS transfer rumors
The transfer window is in full swing, meaning a lot of rumors of players from around the world moving to MLS. Here are some of the rumors.
Jhon Chancellor- The Venezuelan international is likely on his way out of Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala after the club has experienced financial difficulties. The towering Center back reportedly has offers from MLS as he looks for a new place to play.
Fouad Bachirou- The Comoros international currently plays for Swedish giants Malmo, but is a transfer target of MLS side Minnesota United, who would likely make the 28-year-old midfielder a Designated Player. Bachirou has impressed in Allsvenskan and Europa League play this season, so Malmo will surely want a good fee for him.
Marcos Lopez- The 19-year-old Peruvian can play both as a Left back and a Left winger and has offers from two unnamed MLS clubs. Currently, at Sporting Cristal in the Peruvian league, Lopez recently received his first call-up to the senior national team.
Lukas Spendlhofer- The Austrian Center back is reportedly in “serious talks” with Toronto FC. A regular starter for Sturm Graz in his native Austria, Spendlhofer would be a big signing for a Toronto side desperately looking for a CB.
