Another day, another opportunity for Steph Curry to leave our collective jaws on the floor
Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors found themselves down 57-46 against the Oklahoma City Thunder at halftime during Saturday’s game when Draymond Green went on a profanity-laced tirade.
Things would get worse from there as 1:25 into the third quarter, Thunder guard Russell Westbrook landed on the ankle of the Warriors Steph Curry. As a result, Curry limped back to the locker room.
Things looked bleak for the Warriors as a loss seemed unavoidable.
Six minutes later, Curry found himself back in the game and the Warriors fortunes changed.
Steph went on to break his own NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a season. What’s incredible about this feat is that Curry managed to break the record in just 59 games. To put his dominance into perspective, Curry holds 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th place on that particular leader board.
The teams traded jabs back and forth with the Warriors closing the gap and forcing overtime.
Tied at 118, with 5+ second left, this happened…
In making that shot, Curry also tied the NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a single game, with 12.
Curry now owns 5 of the top 14 spots on that list as well.
Just another day at the office for the greatest shooter to ever lace up a pair of sneakers.
