David Aldridge is reporting that the San Antonio Spurs have come to an agreement with free agent power forward David West on a deal for the veteran minimum of 1.4 million dollars.
West opted out of a contract with the Pacers that would have paid him $12,000,000 this season.
The 35 year old, 2 time All-Star averaged 11.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in just under 29 minutes a game last season. Â His approach to the game and leathel mid-range jump shot will fit right in on the Spurs.
This move (along with the LaMarcus Aldridge signing) helps solidify San Antonio as the favorites in the Western Conference.
