Josh Jackson, the top recruit in the 2016 class, has made it know that he’ll be making his decision “In the next week, or so”.
But could a video posted by Arizona commit Kobi Simmons provide spoilers? In the video posted by Simmons, he refers to Jackson as “new Arizona recruit”, then Jackson responds with a “U of A Wildcats”.
More likely than not, this is just two friends messing around. But it’s an interesting thing to happen the same day that guard Justin Simon decided to transfer out of the program. Perhaps Simon knew that playtime would be hard to come by with Ray Smith returning from injury, coupled with a tremendous recruiting class featuring the nation’s #1 player (SG Josh Jackson), the nation’s #17 player (SF Rawle Atkins), the nation’s #18 player (PG Kobi Simmons) and talented Finnish forward Lauri Markkanen.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it.
