Lamar Jackson is the best player in college football.
Doubters of Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson could argue that game one against Charlotte (17-23, 286 yards, 6 TDs, 11 carries, 119 yards, 2 TDs) could have been an anomaly.
They could argue that game two at Syracuse (20-39 411 yards, 1 TD, 21 carries, 199 yards, 4 TDs, ACC single-game yards record), was a flukey coincidence.
After today’s game three (13-20, 216 yards, TD, 17 carries, 146 yards, 4 TDs), a 63-20 blowout win over the #2 ranked Florida State Seminoles, the debate is over.
Jackson is for real. Right now he’s the best player in college football and the distance between him and the second best place is enormous.
Louisville plays at Marshall next.
The 2018 NFL Draft is shaping up into an interesting race between two very different, but incredibly talked prospects in Jackson and UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen.
Here’s Jackson allegedly throwing the ball 100 yards in high school.
