No One Knows Where Derrick Rose Is

Derrick Rose didn’t show up for tonight’s game against the Pelicans.

In something of a strange story, New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose wasn’t in the starting lineup for the team tonight.

For good reason…

No one seems to know where he is.

Rose, who was available for tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans didn’t show up for tonight’s game and as of tipoff, no one in the organization had been in contract with him.

Brandon Jennings got the start in place of the absent Rose.

Rose isn’t hurt — at least he’s not listed on the team’s injury report.  The Knicks also hadn’t made any kind of announcement about their guard being excused for personal reasons.

As of right now, it seems like he simply didn’t show up.

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that the team isn’t aware of any reasons for Rose’s no-show.

This has led to the speculation that this may be an act of rebellion from Rose in response to him sitting for the entire fourth quarter of this past Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

This is a bizarre situation wherein the best outcomes seems to be a player responding to a benching like a petulant child.  It seems funny to say this, but we certainly hope nothing happened to Rose and that this is nothing more than a case of him being a brat.

Either way, if you’ve seen Derrick Rose today, you might want to give the Knicks a call.

Rose is averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds a game this season.
