Jordan Hill signs with the Timberwolves

Jordan Hill provides more frontcourt depth in Minnesota

Jordan Hill and the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed on a deal.

Hill’s new contract will pay him $8 million over 2-years.

The 28-year-old power forward becomes part of a formidable Timberwolves frontcourt that already includes Karl-Anthony Towns, Gorgui Dieng, the newly-signed Cole Aldrich, Nemanja Bjelica, Nikola Pekovic, Adrien Payne and Kevin Garnett.

Hill was a member of the Indiana Pacers during the 2015-2016 season, he played in 73 games, posting averages of  8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.

This will be the 5th team Hill has played for during his soon-to-be eight-year career.  The New York Knicks made Hill the #8 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.  He’s also played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and most recently, the Indiana Pacers.  The power forward has career averages of 8.0 points and 5.9 rebounds a game.

The team still has roughly $14 million remaining under the salary cap.
