Aaron Henry Commits to Michigan State

Aaron Henry has committed to the Michigan State Spartans.

One of the fastest rising prospects of this year’s summer circuit, Aaron Henry, has announced his commitment.

He’ll be a Michigan State Spartan.

“This is a life time decision and I feel my family and I made the right decision,” Henry tweeted. “I will be attending Michigan State University. Thanks to the Spartan family for welcoming my family and I in with open arms and thank you for giving me the chance of a life time!!”

Henry visited Michigan State over the weekend and made his decision official shortly after the trip.

An elite athlete, Henry has shown the potential to guard anywhere from the 2-4 at the college level.

The 6-5 small forward from Indianapolis, Henry averaged 14.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists as a junior for Ben Davis last season, making 42% of his 3-point attempts.  He spent the summer playing on Team Harris, an AAU team sponsored by former Spartans and current Denver Nuggets star guard Gary Harris.

Henry finished that summer averaging 21 points a game during the five-game Adidas Summer Championships.  That play earned him over 10 new scholarship offers, including one from Michigan State.

The wing currently rates as a high 3 or low 4-star recruit by most recruiting services, but those grades should rise following his strong summer.

Henry becomes the 5th member of Michigan State’s 2018 recruiting class, joining fellow 4-star recruits PG Foster Loyer, SF Gabe Brown, PF Marcus Bingham, and PF Thomas Kithier.
