The Dallas Cowboys’ injury report grew longer this week with a surprising addition: CeeDee Lamb. The star wide receiver, who had previously been absent from the injury list, was suddenly marked as questionable for Monday night’s matchup against the Houston Texans due to a back injury. Lamb reportedly sustained the injury during Saturday’s final practice while participating in 7-on-7 drills, where he was listed as a limited participant.
Despite the unexpected development, head coach Mike McCarthy expressed optimism about Lamb’s availability, telling ESPN, “I’m not of high concern.”
Lamb, who has been a standout for the Cowboys this season with 59 receptions for 681 yards and four touchdowns, has been previously listed on the injury report for a shoulder issue but has yet to miss a game. His status is expected to remain uncertain until Monday night’s inactive list is released.
If Lamb is unable to play, Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin would likely step into more prominent roles, with Brandin Cooks still sidelined on injured reserve.
In addition to Lamb, the Cowboys have several other players on the injury list, including tackle Chuma Edoga (toe), right guard Zack Martin (shoulder), and linebacker Nick Vigil (foot), all of whom are also listed as questionable. Cornerbacks Jourdan Lewis (neck) and DaRon Bland (foot) have been ruled out, while fullback Hunter Luepke (calf) is questionable.
