Denver Nuggets Turn Down Blake Griffin Deal

Here’s what we know, the Nuggets and the Clippers have talked about a deal that would send injured superstar Blake Griffin to the Denver Nuggets in a multi-player deal.

From what’s out there right now, it would seem that the most reliable version of the story is that the Clippers called the Nuggets, offering Griffin and the dead-weight contract of Lance Stephenson for Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, Nikola Jokic and Will Barton.

Naturally, the Nuggets declined that ridiculous proposal.

If you ask the Clippers, they were minding their own business one day, talking among themselves about how great Blake Griffin is, when the Nuggets called, offering that package and the Clippers immediately declined.

If you believe recent reports, the Clippers are thinking very seriously about like without Griffin and seem determined to move him.  Maybe not immediately, but in the not to distant future, for sure.

Griffin is talented.  He’s a remarkable athlete who jumps out of the gym and passes the ball well.  He pairs nicely with point guard Chris Paul in an up-tempo offense.  But with the way the NBA is moving, he’s a power forward who can’t shoot the ball.

What’s going to happen?  Time will tell, but don’t be surprised to hear many more Blake Griffin rumors both prior to the deadline and during the off-season.
