Fantasy Football Trade Values – Week 7

At this point in the season, anyone can still take home their league’s championship.

Week 7 is already here! This is already about the halfway point for regular season fantasy leagues and no matter what your record is, you still have a shot! You never know what can happen, even if you’re winless, I’d still give you about a 1 in a million shot.

The league has already been ravaged by injuries to top-tier players like Aaron Rodgers, David Johnson, and Odell Beckham Jr and you know, unfortunately, that more will come. Ezekiel Elliott may still serve his suspension this season and hidden surprises will emerge meaning that league winning players are most likely still available.

We’re going to take a look at a handful of guys who carry high-risk and high-reward for the rest of the season. They could help you crawl back into the playoffs or stack your team when the playoffs come, or they could shatter your dreams like Gordon Hayward’s ankle did to Celtics fans last night. Sorry, Boston.

David Johnson and Aaron Rodgers

We’re going to get two obvious ones out of the way at the beginning. Here’s what we know:

– Both of these guys are absolute studs when healthy. – Both have a chance to return towards the fantasy football playoffs

– Both may not play the rest of the season

At this point, these guys are shots in the dark. No one truly knows when either will be back and even if they are healthy enough to come back, if their teams are out of the playoff race, they may choose to sit them anyway and let them heal up for next season.

If however, they do come back, then you are getting a top 5 guy at the position.

Teams that are 6-0 or 5-1 should be considering adding these guys if they can get them for the right price.

Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris

Another combo who could end up being league winners. Or they may not play at all, or they may end up in an even timeshare. Again, we’re talking high-risk, high-reward.

The Zeke saga continues to move forward and it just took another interesting turn. He was just granted the right to play in week 7 after his suspension was reinstated. There will be another decision made by Oct 30th that will give us more clarity. It could turn out that he still has to serve his 6 game suspension towards the end of the year, potentially knocking him out for some or all of the fantasy playoffs.

If you have the bench space it is worth holding McFadden and/or Morris. The trick here is, even if Zeke is suspended, no one really knows how carries will break down between these two guys, but if one of them takes hold of the starting job, you have a low-end RB1, high-end RB2 coming down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Personally, I would take McFadden if I had to choose between the two.

Long Shots

Donte Moncrief – You can get him for next to nothing and if Luck comes back, he is a solid flex-play

Marlon Mack – He has looked really good the last two weeks and Turbin is out for the season. If Gore wears down at all, Mack could have a very strong finish to the season.

Derrick Henry – This isn’t surprising, but I wanted to include him anyway. He is very good and Murray is always a little dinged up.

Josh Doctson – Cousins is looking to him a little more. He isn’t getting tons of targets, but he has two TDs in his last three games.

Corey Coleman – Another guy who should be coming back from his injury in a month or so. He is the most talented guy on the Browns and they will be throwing a lot.

James Conner – Bell is getting a huge amount of touches and he has had injury problems in the past. Conner is worthless unless Bell gets hurt, but if he does Conner could win your league.

Mike Williams – Played his first game last week and caught his only target. Most importantly he didn’t seem to aggravate his injury so he should start to see more looks going forward.
