T.J. McConnell
Timothy John McConnell is a guy you should have in your lineup for now.
Markelle Fultz is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury and he will be re-evaluated in three weeks. T.J. McConnell is a MUST OWN, MUST START guy for at least three weeks. He is averaging 5.7 ppg, 4.7 apg, and 1.7 spg in this season with just 20 minutes. Now, Fultz is down and T.J. should see his minutes trending up. Last season, after the break he posted 8.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7.5 apg with %45.3 FG percentage. He is good, he will be good and he should be picked up everywhere.
D.J. Augustin
Orlando is exceeding expectations and their starting point guard Elfrid Payton is out with hamstring injury. Reports say the injury is a short-term injury but DJ Augustin has filled the void perfectly. He is shooting an incredible 60.7% . He is also averaging 11.0 ppg (with 1.4 3pg), 2.8 rpg, 5.8 apg and 1.4 spg and these stats make him as a decent short-term appeal.
Austin Rivers
After the injury of Milos Teodosic, Austin Rivers is the guy starting for Clippers. Last season, between January and February, he started 20 games and averaged 16.1 ppg and 4.2 apg. This season, in his three starts after Teo’s injury, he is averaging 17.3 ppg (with 3.7 3pg) and 2.3 spg. It seems he is a legit contributor in points and threes if you need these stats pick him up.
E’Twaun Moore
Like last week, Moore is playing for the wingless Pelicans team and Rondo is out with his hernia injury. He is averaging 12.3 ppg(1.8 3pg) and he is not contributing much more. If you need some threes without hurting your %FG, Moore is the guy. Take a look at him.
Donovan Mitchell
The rook is LEGIT. He is struggling with his shot and he might be inconsistent in terms of shooting but his upside is real and it is hard to resist that risk. It is better to stash him but he can win a week with his scoring ability and explosiveness. He is a 3-point specialist for now, but he can give defensive stats as well. Do not hesitate to add him.
Forwards and Bigs
Caris LeVert
Nets are leading NBA in Pace and their young core is one of the reasons for this. LeVert is the guy who seems a glue guy for Brooklyn. He is having shooting slumps and probably continues his slump but the other stats makes him as a speculative add for owners who need some defensive stats. In his 4 starts, he is averaging 12.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.8 apg and 1.3 spg which means he can be a decent option if you can ignore his percentages.
Kelly Oubre
First things first, Markieff Morris is close to a return and it can decrease Oubre’s minutes and stats. However, Oubre makes himself as a reliable player with some upside. In his 4 starts in this season, he is averaging 11.5 ppg(with 1.8 3pg), 5.5 rpg, 1.5 spg and 1.0 bpg in 37.7 minutes. He should be a decent add and he can continue his versatility even if Markieff eventually returns.
John Collins
Like last week, Collins is a great add for this week, too. Ersan Ilyasova is out for two weeks and the thin big rotation of Hawks opens more minutes to John Collins and Mike Muscala. He is averaging 11.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 0.8 bpg with %49 FG in just 19.3 minutes. Expect him to trend upwards in the following weeks.
Domantas Sabonis
Myles Turner has played just one game in this season and he is injured his neck. In the meantime, Sabonis is trying to fill the void in the paint and he is doing his job very well. In his 4 starts, he is averaging 10.0 ppg, 10.5 rpg, and 2.5 apg with %48 field goal percentage. If you are desperate for some scoring and rebounding, pick him up and use him in short appeal.
Mike Muscala
Same for the John Collins, he will see his minutes increasing in the following games due to Ersan Ilyasova’s injury. Muscala is averaging 7.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and 0.5 spg in just 22 minutes. He will get some minutes from both 4 and 5 and he is a short-term option for owners who need some rebounding.
Alex Len
While Suns are dealing with Bledsoe’s tweets, they have to play some basketball. It seems Phoenix is trying to include Tyson Chandler into the Bledsoe deal and it means we must stash Alex Len. Even this time of the year, he is getting chances and showing glimpses but if Chandler leaves Phoenix, it is time to step up for Alex Len. He can be a must-start player. He is averaging 10.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, and 0.6 bpg with %48 field goal percentage.
