Jeremy Lin Airballs A Layup

Jeremy Lin tends to get underrated in basketball circles.

The worst thing that happened to Lin was the “Linsanity” that happened during his early time with the Knicks.

Apropos of nothing, but the same thing happened to Brandon Jennings, when he dropped 55 during his rookie season.

A string of great games led to unrealistic expectations that Lin was never going to be able to live up to.

Largely because of that, the world tends to overlook an otherwise perfectly good NBA player.

Lin has career averages of 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 26.8 minutes a game.

Carmelo Anthony even went so far as to say that Lin is now (for better or worse) “The face of the Nets.”

But… This isn’t going to help with the not being taken seriously problem…

During his Nets debut, Lin had a breakaway layup — which he airballed.

Yes, he airballed a layup.

Here it is, in all its glory:
