For this week’s awards, I’ll be looking at games played from 11/20 to 11/26.
MVP Performance of the Week: Tim Hardaway Jr.
Tim Hardaway Jr. gets our MVP Performance of the Week award.
The Knicks were down ten to the Raptors starting the third, and it looked like it would stay that way until the impossible happened. The Knicks went on a 28-0 run, which included twelve from Tim Hardaway Jr. Hardaway finished the game with thirty-eight points, seven assists, six rebounds, and shot four for nine from the field.
Rookie Performance of the Week: Jordan Bell
Rookie Jordan Bell got his chance to shine Friday night when the Warriors played the Bulls, and boy did he ever. Bell finished the game with seven points, six blocks, two steals, four assists, six rebounds, and shot three for four from the field.
Most Entertaining Performance of the Week: Russell Westbrook takes on the Warriors
OKC took on Golden State this week and made a regular season game feel like a playoff one. One of the things that made this game so entertaining is Russell Westbrook. He put up a triple-double, got into a fight with former teammate Kevin Durant, a disgusting dunk and euro step, and back to back steals.
Pass of the Week: JR Smith 360 pass to Crowder
Smith’s spin move to assist is this week’s Pass of the Week.
Bad Luck of the Week: Justin Holiday’s Jumpshot
If there was ever a visual depiction of the Chicago Bull’s season, this one would be it. Justin Holiday takes an easy jump shot and makes it look impossible.
Hustle Play of the Week: Back to back steals for Westbrook
Once again, Westbrook earns the Hustle Play of the Week award. Not only does Westbrook get back to back steals, he does it on Stephen Curry who has the ball-handling skills of a god.
