NFC Team's Draft Needs (End of 2017 Season)

NFC East:

Dallas Cowboys: Defensive Tackle
The Cowboys have some pending free agents at the linebacker position, so this could change to linebacker, but right now its defensive tackle. What they need is to get better at the one technique to improve their run defense. Line play is a strength on the offensive side of the ball but needs to be improved on the defensive side to control the line of scrimmage.

New York Giants: Offensive Tackle
I know the Giants will need a successor to Eli Manning, but the next quarterback cannot succeed without better pass protection. This draft has a bunch of stout offensive linemen like Connor Williams, Mitch Hyatt and Mike McGlinchey.

Philadelphia Eagles: Receivers & Tight End
The Philadephia Eagles have a stout offensive line that has been hurt by the loss of Jason Peters on the left side. The Eagles have adequate talent in Alshon Jeffrey, Brent Celek and Torrey Smith in their receiving corps, but could use an upgrade. They need that true #1 receiver to be the target for Carson Wentz.

Washington Redskins: Quarterback
Kirk Cousins could be resigned, but there also are a slew of teams that will be looking to get a QB. You have to think Cousins will want to test free agency as he may become the highest paid player in the NFL. This would be due to being an unrestricted free agent and QB in today’s NFL. The Redskins will then have to replace him, and as a team picking in the earlier half of the draft, you have to think they will be thinking Quarterback.

NFC North

Chicago Bears: Wide Receiver
The Bears invested in a quarterback of the future and a plan B in Mike Glennon. However, they need to feed their presumed quarterback of the future receivers that will help him succeed. Kevin White has been riddled with injuries and is somewhat of a disappointment.

Detriot Lions: Offensive Line
The Lions struggle up front and that needs to change if they want to have a better team going forward. They have a franchise QB in Matthew Stafford and some decent weapons. They need to get better up front to improve their offense. Their defense needs to be fixed as well.

Green Bay Packers: Edge Rusher
The Packers struggled on the defensive side of the ball, and the quickest fix to that problem is a good edge rusher. You have to think the Packers will want a quick fix with Aaron Rodgers being their franchise quarterback and limited years left in the prime of his career.

Minnesota Vikings: Offensive Line
By far the Vikings Achilles heel is their offensive line. They have a good defense and their offense has done the job, but they need more stability on the offensive line so that whichever quarterback they chose to go with past this year has an opportunity to succeed.

NFC South

Atlanta Falcons: Guard
The Falcons have one the more talented rosters in the NFL with a good defense. They also have a franchise QB in Matt Ryan and some weapons in Julio Jones and Davonta Freeman. They could stand to improve their offensive line depth a bit despite having leaders like Alex Mack and Jake Matthews.

Carolina Panthers: Cornerback
The Panthers are a playoff caliber team, but they could take the next step by getting a good cornerback. They are about average statistically in pass defense, but an upgrade in their coverage ability could improve their scheme.

New Orleans Saints: Interior Offensive Line
The Saints drafted Ryan Ramcyzk and that turned out to be a success. This last draft was very successful getting Marshon Lattimore and Ryan Ramcyzk early. They need to continue to build the interior of the offensive line to improve their running attack though.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Defensive End
The Bucs are currently last in the league in pass defense and I think that is due to a lack of pass rush talent. They have had little success outside of Robert Ayers. There is still hope for Noah Spence, but the hope is that the Buccaneers can improve their pass rush quickly if they want to be competitive in the talented NFC South.

NFC West

Arizona Cardinals: Offensive Line
The Cardinals have one of the weaker offensive lines in the league, and that is probably a reason they are flirting with a 500 record. They need to get enough protection so that Carson Palmer doesn’t get hurt again. Their offense can’t take the next step without a better offensive line.

Los Angeles Rams: Cornerback
The Rams have been surprisingly good and Jared Goff has earned the respect of football fans. It was looking like Carson Wentz was the only worthy QB pick of that draft other than Dak Prescott. The Rams have talent on the defensive side of the ball, but they could really shore up their pass defense by upgrading their corners.

San Francisco 49ers: Linebacker
The 49ers could go a lot of different ways in upgrading their team, but a weakness is their run defense. Linebacker Reuben Foster has been a success, but they could use another middle linebacker type to help stop the run.

Seattle Seahawks: Offensive Line
The Seahawks are talented as usual on the defensive side of the ball but could use an upgrade on the offensive side. Russell Wilson has carried their offense, but you can only rely on a mobile quarterback for so long. I would like to see the Seahawks add depth to their line so that Wilson can have more time in the pocket.
