Earlier this week, highly regarded Australian big man Harry Froling gave SMU his commitment to join the school’s 2016 recruiting class.
When it comes to recruiting, it’s clear that Larry Brown and the SMU Mustangs have turned their eyes to international waters.
Froling is the second player from the Australian Institute of Sport to commit to SMU, his teammate Tom Wilson committed to the school back in October.
While international players aren’t ranked on most recruiting websites, Froling has the feel of a solid 4-star prospect. The 6-9, 230 pound power forward / center possesses an impressive combination of power and shooting ability.
Froling was one of 10 players featured in a story by News.com.au that is worth checking out. He also impressed at Adidas Nations during the summer.
He committed to SMU over offers from Arizona, Clemson, Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin and others.
