Waiver Wire Targets for Week 7

Quarterbacks:

Carson Palmer’s play last week was promising.

Carson Palmer (Arizona Cardinals): Palmer is still not owned in many leagues and he has been a fairly consistent fantasy option so far this season. I don’t love his matchup this week against the Rams but he is still a solid streaming option on any given week.

Brett Hundley (Green Bay Packers): Brett Hundley is unproven in the NFL but he has a great receiving corps around him and if the offensive line can get healthy he is in a fairly interesting situation. His next three games bring some fantasy potential facing New Orleans, Detroit, and heading to Chicago. If you have Rodgers on your team I suggest keeping him on and stashing him on your roster until he is officially ruled out for the rest of the season since there a slim chance that he could come back for the fantasy playoffs.

Running Backs:

Dion Lewis (New England Patriots): Mike Gillislee appears to be gaining less and less fantasy value over the weeks and Lewis will only benefit from that. It’s hard to figure out Patriots running backs in fantasy football but Lewis is, in my opinion, the top running back target on the market right now.

Chris Ivory (Jacksonville Jaguars): Don’t get me wrong Leonard Fournette is the workhorse in Jacksonville but the Jaguars appear to have no interest in putting their offense in the hands of Blake Bortles this season and Ivory will be a major beneficiary of this. Ivory has been pretty productive recently and he is my favorite running back to target this week.

Orleans Darkwa (New York Giants): I like Wayne Gallman more but Darkwa had a much better performance on Sunday and it appears like he could get the vast majority of carries in that backfield for the rest of the season. I do not suggest starting Darkwa this week since he is playing Seattle but he is still worth a stash in case he becomes the Giants workhorse.

Wide Receivers:

Nelson Agholor (Philadelphia Eagles): Many people were writing Nelson Agholor off as a bust early on in his career but he has been one of Carson Wentz’s main targets this year and he deserves to be the number one receiver target this week.

Cordarrelle Patterson (Oakland Raiders): Patterson is one of the most dynamic returners in football and he struggled to bring fantasy value in Minnesota but he appears to be much more fantasy relevant in Oakland. I don’t love his matchup this week against Kansas City but there is a solid chance he is available in your league and I suggest targeting him.

Taywan Taylor (Tennessee Titans): The Titans have a very high powered offense this season and I love Taylor as a fantasy target this week. He has an excellent matchup against Cleveland this week and he could be worth a flex play if you pick him up.

Tight End:

Evan Engram (New York Giants): Engram has been one of the best tight ends in fantasy football this year but he has been a little inconsistent and he has a tough matchup this week against Seattle. Despite all of this I think Engram should be your main target on the waiver wire this week since he should get a good amount of targets due to the many injuries that the receiving corps has suffered.
